WE  HOPE  TO  SEE  YOU  IN  2005
BENTSTIX  HOCKEY   SYDNEY  AUSTRALIA  WILL  SEND  TEAMS  TO  THE  EUROGAMES IN  UTRECHT,  HOLLAND  IN  2005:

As a Hockey Club we have decided to go to Holland for the Euro Games in June 2005. This is really a once in a lifetime opportunity for some of us to play hockey with like minded people.



13  REASONS  TO  GO 





-   The games in motreal and Chicago in 2006 do not include hockey and are at present divisive.

-   The Dutch and the German are organising the tournament and we know them, it will be memorable.

-   It will be the first PinkHockey championships.

-   They are keen to get us there and are going to help with accommodation and general support.

-   There will be other men's and women's teams from around Europe .. much more competition than before.

-   This will provide a great apportunity to meet like minded people.

-   Holland is central ro Europe so if you want to stay for a holiday, it is a great starting point.

-   The Club is aming to subsidize all players with gear and accommodation.

-   At the very least ... and possibly a scholarship for someone who is a gifted player, but has not the financial resources to travel.

-   We are getting great prices fot travel to Europe through Deam Flemming who is organizing our trip.

-   You will be representing Sydney and Australia.

-   You will travel with friends.

-   Most inportantly ................ It is going to be

The city of Utrecht in Holland hosts the first Gay and Lesbian PinkHockey Championships from 15 - 19 june 2005. Have a look the website off the EuroGames 2005:

The tentative departure date is June 10th 2005 returning June 22nd 2005 (for those who want to stay the shortest time).

Ideally we need a playing squad of around 15 players for both a men's and women's team with support staff including a coach. If there are more players wanting to go we will endeavour to take 2 teams. We aim to all travel there together. We will need to know who wants to stay on and for how long so we can start to organise deals with airfares. We will be running a series of fundraising activities for starting in November with the commencement of Summer Hockey.

We will need your support for these. They will benefit you. Other activities will include a Gay & Lesbian Press Blitz with the aim of getting more players and sponsorship.
