BENTSTIX  STORIES  &  PICTURES

The  EuroGames  Utrecht  2005

It will be only the second time that field hockey features in a major Gay & Lesbian sports event, and the first time that is a part of EuroGames. The Australian participants in Utrecht, 'Bentstix', organised the 2002 Gay Games Hockey Tournament in Sydney. The German-Swiss women's team 'Charme on Tour' and the Dutch men's team 'Inittowinit' both came away with the gold medals. Since then, gay and lesbian hockey has been growing fast, especially in the Netherlands. Four Dutch teams will take part in Utrecht. The Australians travel to Europe with three teams, one women's, two men's, to seek revenge for the loss of their Sydney golds. Go to the special EuroGames website to found out if they got it …

The  Mardi  Gras  Tournaments

Every year during the Mardi Gras we organize a hockey tournament: It does not matter if you are a good hockey player or not, participation and enjoyment is the most important requirement. If you do not know any other field hockey players do not worry, as we will attempt to set up composite teams. Everyone is welcome to play. Organize your own mixed team or we'll put you in one. If you want to know more or sin up, please send an e-mail. We hope to hear from you. Everyone is welcome !!
